Story from Mahabharata to explain our approach:

A group of saints wanted to perform a grand ritual and needed tons of wood. They approached King Yudhistra to ask for help. He ordered his soldiers to go out in the forest and collect all the wood they could. It was raining heavily for days and the soldiers couldn’t find dry wood for the rituals. King Yudhistra was ashamed for not fulfilling the wish of the people who came at his doorstep.

They, next, went to King Karna who is also known for his charitable nature. Karna thought for a while and analysed that it's raining and the soldiers will have a  hard time  finding wood. He then ordered to break all doors and windows of his palace and offer that as a gift to the saints.

Both the Kings had pure intention and were known for their supreme charitable nature.
But Karna delivered the result!
